Simple Spanish Rice (Steamer version)
Pantry ingredients make a nice side dish or meal that cooks while you work. Tastes great with taco spices—or mix it up with Ethiopian Berbere spices.
Prep Time: 2 Minutes
Cook Time: 60 Minutes
- 2/3 Cup Brown rice
- 2/3 Cup Millet
- 2 1/2 Cup Water
- 1 can Crushed tomatoes
- Spice mix, such as dak’s Original Red, or Berbere Seasoning
- Add water to base of electric steamer.
- Add all ingredients into the steamer’s rice tray; Place in top tier of steamer.
- Set for 60 minutes. If more time is needed, add up to 20 minutes.
